Nope. The good guys are good. The bad guys are misunderstood good guys. Everyone is exactly who they portray themselves as.
It took me a while to realize that every shopkeep has to finish a side conversation to someone over your shoulder before they say "oh, hey there! How can I help you?" even if there's nobody else around and they weren't in a conversation when you walked up.

Yeah I actually did kinda enjoy mining and base/ship building more than I thought I would. At a certain point I no longer cared about combat at all and was only focused on upgrading my base and ships
