I really like Pillars 1 and 2 and have heard great things about Tyranny, but I have really low expectations for Avowed. Fallout NV is only good in comparison to the Bethesda fallout games, and The Outer Worlds was outrageously bad and anyone who claims otherwise is likely r-slurred.

It's been a minute since I played pillars, but I recall most of the backer stories weren't bad, justbmeh, I do remember some reddit tier ones, but I wouldn't equate it to wading threw sewage, more like shopping at target?

Lol not even. That backer reward shit is garbage and is best when kept to the credits.
I remember bloodstained did something similar, backers could get their portrait (formatted as a painting in victorian-esque style) in certain rooms. The shit looked like faces of atheism and I was immediately reminded as soon as I saw it that the game was kickstarted. Tacky and egregious garbage.

Outer Worlds sucked gangrenous donkey balls, including the DLC that was supposedly better. Just infinite reams of the most boring dialog imaginable. Every NPC and terminal had like 8,000 words of totally meaningless blather. It made Fallout 4 look like a masterpiece.

Honestly the Outer Worlds DLCs are the only things that make Outer Worlds a tolerable 7/10 spaceslop. Without the DLCs its really a forgettable 6/10 spaceslop.
