You lost to the left for decades at this point, and conservatism in general has been losing for centuries. Cope however you want, your ideology is dead. How the left is faring also doesn't matter, for how much they are failing you still can't beat them, and there's no reason to assume your side will do any better either.

I don't think either side wants to solve anything, like with the immigration crisis in Europe, no matter who you vote for things will remain the same. There are other plans in place and every politician will follow those and not the will of the voters, so there's no reason to care about politics, especially since I'm not willing to do anything stupid and lose the comfy life I have
