Here me out. Dragon Age II was utter dog sbit, and unironically was on par with my cholera hospital visit in misery. However; the implications of resolving a templar/mage war in the next game was a great hook. Inquisition was an okay game, leagues better and tresspasser also ended on an interesting hook with many implications.
The potential is there, bioware is just r-slurred.

Issue with dragon age 2 was condition of skin
Issue with dragon age veilgurad is condition of body.
Writing. Story. World building. pacing and voice acting was good to great.
But combat was step down. Using same dungeons was really had. Enemies apearing from thin air was really stupid. Asthetic wise it was too bright and didnt convey shitty and gloomy atmosphere it should have had.
For veilguard its oposite. Combat is fine to good. Game runs great. You visit so many unique locations its insane. Astehtic is at time great to good at least.
But story sucks butt. Worldbuilding is bottom of barrel shit. Writing is horible. Pacing is painful. Voice acting is just plain bad.
With 2 you kinda can see bones of great game. With veilguard. All you see is shit
This is massive issue when you are studio known for storytelling and writing. Its like if rockstar sudendly made visual novel

Exactly, in fact I'd say DA2 had the best story setup (smaller scale political crisis) and character relation system (friend/rival) in the whole series. It's just the actual gameplay and environments were lacking.

Yeah but BG3's peak was actually on the second weekend after release. I was waiting to see if the game could gain some momentum before burying it for good but it looks like all the people pooping on both sides stopped that from happening. Definitive flop, we can only hope they kill the studio before they r*pe Mass Effect again.

Wasn't last weekend its first weekend? I think the first weekend everyone tries it out and if it's garbage the next weekend is the true sign of success. But I can't remember if its first weekend was the last one or the one before. Ironic thing is. Part of reason why people dont like it is timing. Everyone has had taste what could be with bg3. They are past of this kinda game. When with inquisition it was oposite. It came in perfect time. Year with little going on. Just before witcher 3, fallout 4 and bloodborne.

Inqusition is pure shit. Yet people loved it. It sold like hot cakes. But everyone recognise that year later it would have been whole diffrent story.
People dont judge things in vaccume. They judge it against its peers. 2024 rpg market is totally diffrent from 2022 rpg market.
And gameplay is not issue with veilguard. Its mostly writing. But i cant blame redsitor for having bad observational skills
