Today, I am baptised into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!
I have known the church a long time before my conversion. I am a big fan of After the End, and one of my most favorite starts is the Theodemocracy of Utah. I had very enjoyable experiences trying to fulfill the White Horse Prophecy :) , and it developed my interest in the LDS church as a church that is very peculiar, yet also intimately involved in American history. I learned how Mormons are renowned for their kindness and emphasis on family, clean living and communal support. One day, I happened to chance upon a Mormon church in Hanoi, and the people there live up to their reputation and more. I learned more about their faith, and I decided that this church fit my personal values and desires to do good Christ's name. With the gift of the Holy Spirit and the community that conquered Salt Lake with me, I feel inspired and confident to go out into the world, build a great life and glorify Him in me. Thank you, AtE devs, for your great work that have brought me great joy and lead me to eternal joy in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

my uncle in law's family in the philippines all converted to mormonism because the mormons promised to pay for college and support like that.
never happened, so they all left.
except one who's a closet gay still trying to deny he's gay, so there's that i guess.

Mormons take the whole prosperity gospel gimmick from Pentecostals to a whole new level, Mormonism is basically "American Dream: The Religion", the Mormon missionaries that I've spoken to try really hard to look cosmopolitan in their theology and beliefs and all, but they still saw Utah as their very own Vatican, they are an American-bred religion ruled by American authorities who are the richest religious organization on earth, they are even richer than Catholic Church despite being dwarfed by the number of Catholics (15 million LDS members vs. over one billion Catholics), the LDS Church is worth $265 billion USD!, there is no way for them to downplay that.

did u even bother to read the wikipedia entry?
the catholic church of germany was estimated between $47.24 to $265.62 billion ... and that's just one fricking not particularly catholic country, and that's the kind of valuation spread ur dealing with cause it's so much priceless wealth built up over 1000s of years. they don't even try to estimate how much the vatican itself is worth.
u know there are almost 300,000 physical catholic churches?? how much do u think the notre-dame alone is worth? lol they spent almost $1 billion just repairing the roof, god that building + land is beyond priceless, prolly worth more than the entire LDS church.
those fricking conman worshipers ain't got shit on the catholic church, give me a fricking break. no one gives a shit about their obvious cute twinkry-in-denial temple, or the worthless dessert it sits on.
the fact u typed this out
and didn't give it a second thot is just, why do i need to exist among such absolute ??
ur the idiot who reads the first forbes article claiming elon is the richest person in the world, not realizing that list doesn't include old money or monarchs.
elon is worth just one rothchild heir, and there's like a dozen of those. what a total sheeplefried pleb.

Most of their wealth isn't hidden, it's in land, real estate, private businesses and "normal" financial assets (stocks, funds,..). You can't hide this kind of wealth from forbes world's richest list. You can hide gold for centuries, but that's not the majority of their wealth.
Of course most actually rich people try to hide or downplay how much they have. If Hans-Adam II Prince von und zu Liechtenstein, probably the richest aristocrat in Europe currently, is worth $10B according to Bloomberg's estimate, his true net worth might be $50B, but definitely not hundreds of billions.

What is old money?

WDYM? Generational wealth is "old money" as opposed to people who just got rich recently. Elon actually would be old money, though, his family had an emerald mine and brought the chiropractic grift to Canada.

Elon's dad lies about everything he says for some reason. He didn't get money for his businesses until they were successful and the "emerald mine" was a partial investment in one they visited at one point

Stop sidevoting me why am I supposed to know his dad was a liar?
2 homes a yacht plane and six+ cars is not exactly poor, and according to a biography on Musk his dad had the rights to the outputs of three emerald mines not one. The snopes article also explicitly states that Musk did not respond to request for receipts on his claims regarding being in debt after college etc. I remain unconvinced -- his parents are millionaires for sure even if Errol has exaggerated.
