I hope Rebirth wins, but as somebody already said, it came out in February so the hype died down already. Black Myth doesn't have enough women and s in it. Metaphor is great but this year is stacked with great RPGs. SOTE might win off of Elden Ring's clout, but if it's judged as an actual game, it's nowhere near better than the others.
I also don't know why The Game Awards became the Oscars of videogames. Who made that decision?

I know the contrarians of arrdrama almost certainly hate it, but I fricking love Rebirth. Shit is campy as frick, combat is so tight, and the side quests were legit fun. Even all the fluff that everyone bitches about was implemented in fun ways to me. Love it to death.

Rebirth made me feel like I was playing FF7 for the first time. Besides the things you mentioned, the soundtrack is absurdly amazing. My only two gripes are the pacing of the chapters (e.g., 5 and 6 are minigame chapters, 7 is story, and 8 is back to minigames), and the time janny shit.
Black Myth is the only game that comes close, and I guarantee that the 99% of the people who think it's better than Rebirth, haven't played Rebirth.
