I just found myself on the Xbox store purchasing Skyrim for the 5th time. I own it on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. And I thought to myself...why the heck am I buying this game again?
Skyrim and Witcher 3 have sold over 30 million copies each. So I thought to myself, I can't be the only one that's buying these games multiple times.
But then you look at Dragon Age. Dragon Age as a franchise hasn't even sold 50% of either Skyrim or Witcher 3. Mass Effect as a franchise has sold 20 million total too.
I've played Dragon Age and I'm sorry, it's a terrible game. BioWare themselves admitted that Dragon Age: Origins was bad level design and bad gameplay (just Google it). The "Fade" in Dragon Age: Origins is the worst level in gaming history so much so that there's a mod called Skip The Fade which has been downloaded over half a million times. Dragon Age: Veilguard is "baby's first RPG"; the game is lacking in the RPG department.
In short, BioWare is not on the same level as Bethesda and CD Projekt Red and I think it's simply because their games aren't as fun.

I'd say both bioware and bethesda are equally terrible. I'm not sure how CD projekt red will do in the future but I'm not all that confident in them either.

All the people with talent left Bioware long ago. CD Project Red still has some people that can make games.

At least CDPR have a game released this gen that's not an embarrassment. Bioware and Bethesda are both coasting off reputation for stuff they did 10+ years ago.
