But at this point devs really don't give a frick like why should we download 140gb game to then download an 129gb patch like can't they send the right version the servers so we don't have to basically download games twice ?

HDDs are like 1/4 the cost they were even 5 years ago. It's part of why games got so large. A 4TB HDD costs less than the most recent CoD.
