I could believe it. Gamepass is an example of Microsoft being both bold and hilariously shortsighted. Pivoting to a focus on being "the Netflix of video games" when releasing boxes to compete with Playstation wasn't really working for them anymore deserves props but it's a little unbelievable that nobody at Microsoft foresaw that going so hard on Gamepass, including pushing day 1 releases on there, would condition Xbots into not purchasing games anymore. Now some developers won't bother porting to Xbox unless Microsoft cuts them a large enough check to cover the porting costs.
