KC:D is what I would call polished Eurojank.
I played it at release and I liked it well enough and combat does have a bit of a learning curve but the game does become pretty easy once you get it down. The alchemy is fun to mess around with some, the lockpicking sucked from what I remember and the story was decent.

It's very good if you like historical realism, but be forewarned that a lot of the mechanics are annoying. Having to eat/sleep enough every day is a pain in the butt, not to mention guards randomly waking you up in the middle of the night and fining/arresting you for not carrying a torch. And the combat is kind of shitty, especially if you're 1vXing.
