There's unironically a good argument that he isn't gonna get a fair trial.
But even if he got that, I dont think he would get completely off. The hold he did was approved, but doing it for 7 minutes without checking on the dude is at best negligent. That goes double if Floyd really did say he couldn't breathe before.
"involuntary manslaughter" would probably be the correct sentence.
Iirc they got him for 2nd degree murder first time around. I didnt follow it closely, but that seems far too strong for the facts, and completely politically motivated. Realistically it'll end with 3rd degree murder i think.
