I don’t think it’s worth it for meat tbh. The second google result shows $1.5/lb for whole chicken and third shows .8/lb for frozen bad cuts. Given you lose half the weight in processing, and dog meat is gonna be ... eh, not worth. Just throw em in a pit.
Incredibly, these buttholes https://pasturebird.com/ at the top of google shopping (probably ad idk) are selling for $10-15/lb. That’s way higher than the “organic, biodynamic” stuff the Jews at my local market sell, and that’s way better than this division of Perdue Farms’s shit
