There's an interesting phenomenon in Eastern Europe. Poland is ultracatholic, and everyone will tell you that that's their religion. Czechia on the other hand next door are almost entirely unreligious, but if you take surveys of what Czech people believe, a huge number of them consider themselves to be 'spiritual'. Let's agree that by western we mean the classical "logic and reason".
There are things, important things, that cannot be inferred by western methods. I think morality is one of these. Imagine that we don't intrinsically value human life. Maybe we could justify killing people to prevent climate change. How do we value love with "logic and reason"?
I know I could insert cost calculation like insurances do, but for most normal people, the value of life has nothing to do how many dollars you will generate. But if life had a monetary value, then we could justify slavery by saying that if a rich person pays a parent the expected value of the life of the child, then he can get a slave morally.
I know that they are using this argument in the wrong way to say that 'engineering' is just as valuable as astrology. That's because they are interpreting their own way of seeing the world wrongly.

This is not exactly a validation of the astrology stuff, but I think in astrology there is useful information, but it is encoded with a lot of noise around it, but some small nugget of truth exist in there.
What I'm trying to say is: "logic and reason" is not the end all of everything. There are other important things, arguably more important than it. And I think that this is the 'truth' that all the woke bs is trying to transmit but they go at it the complete wrong way. I also think that religion filled this hole until the last 50 (+/-) years.
(Also, I don't know enough philosophy or epistemology to have a real educated opinion on this, this is just a result of my naïve observations)

The problem is that morality describes the "ought", but astrology describes the "is". Astrology does not describe how people should act, it describes what things will happen, which makes it entirely reasonable to judge it against science.
