BPD typically don't use their disorder to completely remove responsibility from themselves, in my experience.

They just don't understand that blowing up someone's phone with self-hating personal essays after the fact doesn't automatically earn them forgiveness or understanding. (Which of course after not receiving the response they were hoping for, causes them to start pouting and acting bitchy towards that person, starting the cycle anew.)
