I never really got "digital nomad" vibes from him. At least from what I remember, he said that he specifically chose a dangerous country to visit and knew what he was getting himself into (well, aside from the actual collapse of Kabul lol). The fact that he was streaming/posting throughout the whole thing was fantastic.
Also, "digital nomads" tend to stick to more glamorous destinations than Afghanistan.
