Help my r-slur brain out, using stable diffusion costs a lot of PC hardware use as much as running a game on highest graphics and mining crypto? or can I generate some low-sized images from a considerably crappy PC? :marseythonk:

Are you worried about electricity use? Yeah, it's near full load while generating images. I have a 3090 and it's pulling 350W for each image but a typical prompt only takes ~20 seconds for a 3x3 output. At $0.20/kWH, that's about one-tenth of a cent per query. Might heat up your room, though. Output speed is mostly graphics card dependent so feel free to put a V8 in your potato-pc

Undervolt the card a bit. Things will be slower but it won't generate as much heat. Extends longevity of your hardware
