That says a lot about how much reddit has changed in itself. At one point redditors were happy to meet IRL and try to have a fun time. Now a lot of the mods would say, "Not a chance in heck I'm going to meet with a bunch of redditors."

I know this is what everyone says about every community, but it was better when it was smaller. I've met a handful of redditors IRL and they were decent, if a bit cringey. But they were all dudes you could sit down and have a couple beers with.

These days though, yeesh. No thanks.

My husband and I met up with one CCer who was doing a vacation around the country and we had a nice, pleasant day. Second CC meetup in Dallas was a lot of mess.
