Even if we didn't have the context of his ex wife explaining her side of the story (particularly concerning the period at the beginning of the 2000s and Bardfinn's firing from his tech support gig), even if we didn't know it was Bardfinn who posted this comment, every sane and rational person who reads a comment like this will immediately begin to question its accuracy.
Anyone who has experience dealing with abusers, violent criminals and other degenerates will notice the gaps in the story. The distortion, attempts to paint every person in the story other than himself as irrational people acting morally wrong.
Noootice how he directly quotes his ex-employer to show that they're stupid conservative buttholes for firing him ("9/11") while curiously leaving out the reason why both his ex-wives left him and explicitly not stating what his second ex-wife said that lead to his own mother giving her the blessing to kick him out.
Or what he did that made his ex-wives kicking him out and Bardfinn's mother cheering on that. As with all abusers, it's nice to read what Bardfinn says, but it's more revealing what he doesn't say.
Technically he doesn't say that his ex-wives were wrong for kicking him out. Or that his mother was wrong for siding with them over him. He's just presenting them along with his irrational ex-employer or the economic crisis of 2008. Technically, all what he has said in this comment could be true, he's just leaving out the context necessary to understand the whole story. This is why abuser types tend to obsess over words, semantics and technicalities. Bardfinn wants to hide the truth in technicalities, yet every single one of his attempts at leaving out the gaps in his stories just leads to attentive readers noooticing them even more. Anyone with a little bit of life experience notices this.
Which is why abuser types tend to focus on people with little life experience. Young people who are too inexperienced with abusers to notice the gaps in the stories. No doubt some teenager on groomercord will believe this shit and feel sorry for the abuser, while adults tend to notice when someone is trying to hide something. It's an unfortunate truth that sadly explains a lot.
You betray every rational human being by attempting to deny and shape the truth in a way that presents you as a good guy. You're not. You're a terrible person and every one of your attempt at running away from this fact proves it to every adult in the room.
Changing your name, appearance, or gender, cosplaying as the impossibly good, honest and unquestionably moral white-knight-who's-the-victim-of-everyone-persona Penny won't change who you are, Steve. And anyone who's mentally past Tanner Stage 5 can see this.
