It's absolutely not something you'd need to be an internet addict to know about. 97 (really 96) and Liverpool is a connection most people with any passing knowledge of football in the northwest would make and I'd say a plurality in the country too. That said it's r-slurred he should be arrested for it. Like he's being arrested because he could cause others to do something which would harm public order but that's on them not him.
