I must have been misinformed then. A while back I could have sworn that blocking the ad account worked. This is really disheartening. I knew a chunk of the reddit higher ups are just straight up fascist sympathizers (looking at you u/spez) but I didn't think they would literally use the entire platform as a hate propaganda machine

These ads violate the rules of the sub I mod. 
It has a strict rule against proselytizing. 
Reddit refuses to take action. I've messaged the admins through modmail here multiple times. Our users have reported the ads. I get back meaningless form responses.
Reddit doesn't care because these propagandists wrote them a big check. That's the only thing the current admins are interested in, clearly. 
Bait idea: "Remember when Atheism was a default sub forced upon everyone? Reddit did the right thing and stopped that. They should do the same with these ads." 
That's just one reason why most of us as users prefer 3rd party apps. Modding makes the 3rd party ones critical.
I’m convinced that the real primary reason reddit wants to kill third party apps is specifically because so many people have started moving to them to stop seeing the religious hate group propaganda ads from HeGetsUs. 
Maybe they should just stop accepting money from hate groups instead…
