EFFORTPOST Harmony or Horror - How the Israel/Palestine conflict may lead to the death of Europe

The introduction will be brief. As we all know, Israel and Palestine are currently at war. This will have devastating effects on the world, especially the Middle East and Europe. I will begin by giving a brief outline of the conditions leading to conflict between the two states. I will then take a look back at the refugee crisis of the 00s, and predict how things may be worsened by current conditions.

At the end, I will pose two possible outcomes

a) horror

b) harmony

It is up to you to decide which route is most likely for Europe and women.

Why Conflict? Israel and Palestine

Jews do not want to die. Muslims do not want to suffer. So why is there war? Put simply, what we are witnessing is a cycle of violence. As Sarah Schulman points out:

>The Israeli government has kept the Palestinian Gaza Strip under siege since 2005. This has made daily life unbearable for its inhabitants. In the late spring of 2014, the government of Benjamin Netanyahu escalated pressure on the already suffering Palestinians, and some factions within Gaza responded with rockets that were of such poor quality they had only symbolic impact. The Israeli government re-reacted in turn to this response with over fifty days of aerial bombing and ground invasion, causing mass death and massive destruction of literal, cultural, and psychological infrastructure. The Gazans were reacting to a state of injustice that the Israelis had created. The Gazans were resisting. They were refusing to go along with unbearable and unjustifiable treatment. The Israelis experienced this resistance to ongoing unfair treatment as attack.

Cycles of violence do not stop on their own. Instead, they expand, encompassing more as they grow. The key to breaking the cycle is to recognize that revenge is not justice. Unfortunately, it is already evident that Israel is adamant that harsh retribution is the key to ending violence. All they are doing is creating another generation of fighters who will once again strive for their freedom and their own sense of justice.

Mass immigration - Ayaan Hirsi Ali

In a book I highly recommend titled Prey by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the effects of mass immigration are discussed. For those who need an introduction, Hirsi Ali was born in Somalia where she was subjected to female circumcision. She was meant to marry her cousin but she fled. Following 9/11, she began to rethink the Quran and Islam, and came to the conclusion that Islam is not a religion of peace. This made her very popular in the 00s when it was quite intellectually fashionable to say such things. However, nowadays, she is branded a right winger and a Islamaphobe.

She has strongly stood against mass immigration into Europe, because she believes it will destroy the continent. Specifically, she is worried that Islam is a poison. Furthermore, Europe is unequipped to deal with this poison, and so it shows a soft hand.

>Eighteen-year-old Franziska W. left a Freiburg nightclub in October 2018 with a Syrian asylum seeker she had met inside. What she did not know was that her new acquaintance was wanted by police for drug offenses and as a suspect in a gang r*pe. Majid H. was 21 at the time. It appears that he drugged the girl, dragged her behind a row of hedges, and r*ped her. He then phoned his friends, inviting them to join him. According to the court prosecutor, Majid told them there was a woman outside “who can be fricked.” Over several hours, eleven men—eight Syrians, one Iraqi, one Algerian, and one German—between 19 and years of age either r*ped or provided cover for the male feminists.

The consequences?

>Of the eleven, eight were sentenced to prison terms of between three and four years, two received suspended sentences of four and six months, and one was acquitted.

There's countless cases like this Hirsi Ali brings up.

>One involved a 17-year-old Somali named Mohomed who followed a 13-year-old girl into a shopping center bathroom in Borlänge. Despite her screams, he pushed her down onto a changing table and r*ped her. Days later he called her a “fat, disgusting whore” and threatened to “cut her neck” and “jump on her head” if she reported him to police. He had made similar threats to another girl he had previously assaulted, spitting on her and threatening to kill her. In June 2018, Mohomed was convicted for numerous offenses, including theft, abusive behavior, sexual harassment, and child r*pe. However, the Swedish court found “no special reason” to imprison him as he was a minor, sentencing him to perform just 150 hours of community service and to pay modest compensation to his victims.

>In March 2017, a 27-year-old Nigerian living in an asylum reception center in Bagnoli near Naples sexually assaulted a 41-year-old woman. In 2018, a 20-year-old Somali, who had just received a subsidiary protection permit from the Italian authorities, sexually assaulted a 68-year-old woman sunbathing at a beach.

>The case of Arif Moradi, though less violent, also illustrates the leniency with which migrant men convicted of s*x crimes are treated in Sweden. An Afghani, Moradi entered Sweden in 2014, one of 7,044 other unaccompanied minors hoping to receive asylum that year. His application was refused in 2016, and the Swedish government ordered him to leave the country. While waiting to appeal this decision, Moradi attended a Christian camp in Söderköping, where he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.

>In August 2018, a 19-year-old Somali broke into a retirement home in Halle, Central Germany. He sexually assaulted one of the residents, a 74-year-old woman, simply “because he wanted s*x.”

Horror

I believe we will head this route. The road of horror predicts that mass immigration following the millions of refugees that will be created by the Israel/Palestine war will destroy European society. Author Francesco M. Bongiovanni gives us an idea of what to expect in his text titled The Decline and Fall of Europe.

What you can expect is not Islamification. No, you can anarchy as society loses its cohesiveness.

Harmony

There is a second option - the deepest values of liberalism prevail.

The USA is the most powerful country in the world, and it is shockingly multicultural. In its current form it attempts to embody the central liberal themes of strength through diversity and the possibility of a harmonious society composed of many cultures. The USa has thrived by drawing talent from around the world, and using the unique special traits of all different people to ensure constant progress. Some of the richest people in the world live in America yet were not born there. Some of the greatest scientists and tech geniuses live in the USA but were not born there. Actors, artists and successful people from all walks of life have traveled to that multicultural mecca, the USA, and have achieved the fabled American dream.

Not being funny, I'll let Ariel tell it. Our differences are our strengths.

What makes some one special?

I suppose it all depends,

it's what's unique in each of us

that we all share as friends.

The difference is our differences,

maybe small or great,

variety adds spice to life,

so we should celebrate!

with a special quality,

This is what I desperately want to believe in. That when people from around the world come together, good things happen. That we can find harmony by celebrating our differences. It mean so much to me, and this is the essence of my personal ideologies. However, I'd be foolish to pretend that world works this way. Differences cause conflict.

Conclusion

The mass immigration into Europe will happen. It's not a matter of if but when. Please tell me, will we see:

a) harmony - liberal values prevail and a diverse Europe thrives like never before

b) horror - social cohesion is lost and we witness the decline of a great civilization.
