Sanger is also r-slurred. Since the advent of the industrial revolution the selection pressure for intelligence has been greatly reduced. Thanks to technological advances you no longer have to be intelligent in order to achieve successful reproduction. Things have actually reversed, with the least intelligent reproducing the most and those at the top having little to no children at all. As a result the global average intelligence is dropping fast (yes even among mayo's, rightoids).

The issue is more with the advancement of medicine and greatly reduced child mortality which was significantly higher for the poor in the pre-modern era. It is now low across the board in first world countries. You never had to be intelligent to reproduce, just healthy enough to live until you were old enough to reproduce yourself.

I got in the car today and NPR was the last station I was listening to and today they were covering the Roe v. Wade hearing. I caught the last 30 or so minutes and am just truly dumbfounded.
