Classic Drama: I'm in some deep shit in a divorce. | Redditard takes meme legal advice from r/exmormon, gets bent over the table in court by his future ex wife, then runs to r/legaladvice for more good ideas

https://undelete.pullpush.io/r/legaladvice/comments/2cpyke/im_in_some_deep_shit_in_a_divorce/

The OP is lost forever, but our hero asked /r/exmormon for divorce advice, proceeded to schedule consultations with 30 lawyers to keep his wife from using them, didn't hire one himself, then got teed up to be assfricked by his wife and the lawyer she did hire. At the time of posting he still doesn't have a lawyer.

I just got hit with a motion for attorneys fees saying that what I did was abuse of process, an attempt to deprive and interfere with justice, bad faith, and a bunch of other stuff. Is there something I can do to stop this?

The offending comment in the r/exmormon thread is also gone forever but the replies are still funny

This is dog-shit advice. First of all your contention on the conflict of interest is maybe 45% accurate. Second, this doesn't even the playing field. The wife can go anywhere in the state to find an attorney, it doesn't have to be that particular town. And third, you got OP absolutely fricking sandbagged because like a moron he listened to your stupid fricking advice.

This post is now a choose your own adventure story!

If you stop reading here, you can imagine whatever ending you want for our hero. Maybe he never saw his kids again, moved into a sad bachelor studio with a race car bed, and drank himself to death :marseyangel:. Maybe he pulls a John List and you heard about this on the news like 10 years ago :marseydespair:. Maybe he returns to Mormonism and becomes a polygamist compoundchad :marseyblops2chadcel:.

β€Œ

Alternatively, you can be an unimaginative cute twink and click the spoiler below to find out how the story actually ends :marseystare:. Perhaps it's something funnier than you thought up, or perhaps you'll ruin a good story because life is ultimately boring and without sense.

:marseytwerkinit: :marseytwirl: vvvv SPOILERS vvvv :marseytwirl: :!nikocadoavocadodance2:

Six years later, he randomly pops up in another thread to frick up everybody's fun and explain that he got away with it and learned his lesson and blah blah blah :marseytabletired2:

See? This ending sucks. Don't say I didn't warn you :marseycoomer3:

!jannies do we still get extra credit for effortposts?

Dear Steve Huffman, /u/spez

And the Board of Directors of Advance Publications and of Reddit, Inc.

I am known for being verbose. So, in this instance, let me be as brief as possible:

Spez had some conversations with Elon Musk β€” the owner and CEO of one of Reddit's direct competitors β€”

And he came away from those conversations with ideas on how to "run Reddit" which, when put into motion,

have led to Reddit Admin Policies that kneecapped moderators three times in a row (PushShift, then mod bots, then the third party apps mods use in place of the official app),

Which resulted in the site exploding in protests and riots, decade-old user accounts deleting in protest, entire communities migrating to anyplace else (that's not Twitter), the people who volunteered their time and energy and expertise to keep community on this site walking away, the burning of literally decades of stakeholder expertise and skills, and damage to the goodwill and profitability of Reddit,

And the bigoted, violent harassers whom we finally got to decamp off to Twitter and back to 4chan in 2022 returning in force to Reddit to resume slandering and harassing moderators and communities, and celebrating the idea of bringing online their hate brigades to vote out any moderators foolish enough to stick around after Spez sneered at them β€”?

Your takeaway from conversations with the transphobic white supremacist who runs your business competition was to implement his ideas of running off all the good faith users and making your site inhospitable to advertisers β€”?

Dear Boards of Directors:

Start your candidate search. You have grounds. Act on them.

Signed,

/u/Bardfinn
