People like to be told what they want to hear. I highly doubt this movie challenges the audience and makes them see things from another perspective. It's all just confirmation bias and echo chamber stuff. I can't take it seriously when people say they are "tired" of DEI when they have never taken the time to understand it, its purpose, or who actually even benefits from it.

I'm not surprised by this score.

What does it say about you, that you're making firm blanket judgments on a movie that you haven't even seen? That you're way above echo chambers and confirmation bias?

It's an extremely safe assumption based on the movie's creator, just as safe as assuming that a film made by a Christian church will be religious.

Saw it yesterday. I'm not a Matt Walsh fan, but I really enjoyed it. It's not making claims like "Racism doesn't exist" or anything like that. It's all about exposing the anti-racist and DEI grifters who profit off of nonsense. Right wing Borat is a pretty accurate statement, but I honestly found this to be a lot funnier than Borat 2. Even if you don't like Walsh I think you should give it a chance, it's really not as political as I think many would expect it to be. Honestly, the most political moment was during the trailers for the awful looking new D'Souza documentary about Trump.

"Exposing the anti-racists grifters"

I don't think you have to expose "Anti-Racism" it should be the ideal norm. Like the people afraid of being exposed as anti-racists are like Edward Norton s character in American History X when he stops being a neo Nazi in prison.

Conservatives will never be able to effectively do satire when they always punch down

Sacha Baron Cohen is a multimillionaire.

But he's liberal so it's perfectly okay, according to the morality police. An "honorary" poorโ€ฆ

It's not about who you are

It's about who you're speaking for

Borat was, in part, highlighting the views red America has on non-christian, non-white immigrants

I wonder what the demographics are for this movie

Funny you should ask: Deadline just came out with its demographics: Diversity turnout was 64% Caucasian, 19% Latinx and Latinx, 6% Black and 4% Asian American. Mostly men at 56% with 59% of the audience being over 35 and the largest demo being 25-34 at 28%.

Wow this is actually way more representative of the US population than I was expecting

His Borat character was just negative stereotypes jews had for polish farmers, he simply shifted the country to Kazahkstan to get away with it.

It was pretty sleazy filming in a gypsy village to make fun of Kazakhs.

And Robin DiAngelo, Saira Rao, etc are rich, privileged women who make fat stacks for calling their own customers racist. The "anti-racism" industry is an elite mania at best. At worst, it's a tool used by the elites to divide and humiliate their employees and other captive audiences.

Walsh isn't exactly targeting black guys from the hood here

It's funny how Matt Walsh just had to wave money in front of their faces for them to give up all common sense and agree to the interview. He didn't even really have to dress up for the part or put in much effort.

His former :marseytrain: documentary was really popular with BIPOCs, I think african kangs kept on trying to play it at UN meetings and shit kek. I wouldn't be surprised if they enjoy this one as well.
