The woke mind virus works like this:
It convinces you that every person who is concerned about oppression at all is "woke" and their entire worldview is broken because they've been taken over by a "mind virus."
But this is an agency robbing mythos. Those long time readers will understand that an agency-robbing mythos is /r/sorceryofthespectacle anti-nihilism weaponry: "if you discover an agency-robbing mythos, strip it from your thoughts entirely."
Because you can't build a solid theory of human interaction positing that humans at large are mindless automatons, even if they so often are, because then you accentuate the effect of their mindlessness.
But because the idea acts on the person holding it, not the person the idea is targeted at, the real victim of the woke mind virus... is Elon Musk himself.
He is unable to see his ideological opposition as humans, thinking humans, feeling humans, with sincere and relevant concerns. This makes him broken.
The "woke mind virus" makes NPCs of those who believe in it.
Yes, woke people are often obnoxious, self-righteous, annoying. But underneath all of that, they often have a very important point, and if you can't listen to that important point because of your ideology, you're the one who got mindkilled by an idea.
At its extremes, the belief in the "woke mind virus" becomes woke derangement syndrome.
Symptoms of Woke Derangement Syndrome
A sincere belief that of the two political candidates, the one with better policy positions is a boomer without any self control
Inability to fathom the difference between a immigration policy that takes the challenges of humans arriving on our soil seriously and outright hysteria about pets getting eaten leading to bomb threats against hospitals and schools
Confusion around the notion that Trump repeats a lie necessitating violence and the return of that violence to Trump.
Let me be clear here: if Trump is shot he will have deserved it. I'm not saying I hope that happens because it would be a very violent time in our country just because we couldn't get our boomer out of the room, but at least the dead boomer will stop talking.
Trump lost the 2020 election and the fact that he is running for presidency while repeating his outright delusion that he did not lose is a crisis that Elon Musk is handling poorly.
Elon Musk has become a threat to himself and others. An neurodivergent without a grounding in humanity. Target him for memetic bombardment.

It's not so much of a virus, it's more like a contagious mental derangement. Many leftists are smart, and most are well-intentioned. But just like, for example, it is possible to be very smart yet fall for the mental derangement of Christianity (see JRR Tolkien, for example), it is also possible to be very smart yet fall for the mental derangement of leftism.
Trump is more likely to promote policies that reduce street crime, which would be a huge win. Granted, the Republicans are also to blame for our crime problems because they are so pro 2nd Amendment. However, the reality is that there is no realistic way to get guns away from all of America's violent scumbags. There are too many guns. We have the state capacity to take away the guns, but realistically speaking there is no way to get from where we are now politically to a place like that. On the other hand, it is not much of a stretch to get from where we are now to a place where we use state capacity to do the much simpler thing of just giving cops authorization to be much more pro-active.
So as far as I am concerned, Trump does have better policy positions vs Harris.
Ok, so Trump is a chaotic liar. So fricking what? Why should I care? What I care about is what he would be likely to do if he gets office. The system effectively contains the negative effects of Trump's bizarre personality. On the other hand, the system amplifies the destructive aspects of leftism.

It was known for 50 years that Roe v Wade wouldn't stand up to scrutiny. RGB had been warning about this for decades, during which the Dems had many opportunities to pass actual federal abortion laws. They refused do this because once the law is settled Dems will lose 20% of the histrionic foid vote.
It was pure coincidence that at the time when Roe v Wade had finally moved through all the layers of the legal system to the Supreme Court Trump happened to be POTUS.

It was bad law; even baby killers like RGB admitted it. If you want to kill babies you can pass a law instead of emanating in our penumbras. Any reasonable court would have overturned it and Casey decades ago (and never made such a bad ruling to begin with, really).

Yeah, Roe v Wade was overturned but it's not like abortions were banned nation-wide. Trump also didn't build a wall, he did not deport any large number of illegal immigrants, he did not start WW3, he did not become a dictator, he did not bring about a theocracy, etc. Not like he even wanted to do half of those things to begin with, anyway.
Roe v Wade being overturned is impactful but it's not even at all the result of Trump's eccentricities. Trump doesn't care about abortion, it's just that overturning Roe v Wade is something that Republicans had been working on for decades and they finally managed to do it because Trump won, but it is not the result of anything that has to do with Trump himself, really.
