I mean neurogensis is possible in adults (maybe?) and the brain can utilize different parts of the brains for new things after damage has occurred, but it still isn't looking to good.
Interedting book I read call "The Brain that Chamges Itself". Tons of information and anecdotal evidence about people with learning disabilities and brain damage developing their brain in different ways. Neuroplasticity is an under researched and less understood field. Obviously, not a lot of hard science behind this, and neurogensis is somewhat controversial, but still interesting.
