Whole draft thing is intreating. Pentagon said 77% of youth are too fat, sick or on drugs.

When vietnam happened. They had shitload of exemptions. Biggest being being in school, medical extemption, children and marriage. Marriage exemption ended eventually.

If you think about it. If nowdays. Person has kids in his early 20s. He is either super trashy or way more fit then avarage person.

My gut feeling is that men in college are more like to be healthy and fit.

Basically children and college both hits that small section of people who are seen fit to serve now.

Thats just means they will lower the stantard. But that will be really hard with how immobile avarage person is. I have seen what happens when you try to turn inactive young man into active. Their bodies cant take it. It will start to break apart. Some make it. Some wont.

In reality thats means you need to have another step of training before basics. Thats just about helping their bodies to get used to activity.

Then there is another issue with how draft would happen. Imagine call coming and goverment scrambles to draft. Males everywhere try to avoid it. Then officals try to weed out fit enough to serve. How long it would take to draft 100k men? It would be issue itself if US has big issues to draft.

Espesily when russia just ran mobilisation and mobilised something like 25k guys too many in few weeks.
