It was originally an offsite of /r/chapotraphouse (got caught in a ban wave with /r/cumtown to appear neutral) but they became even more annoying commies. The original url was chapo.chat but they changed it to hexbear because the "dirtbag" leftist brand of the original podcast (who didn't even like the wokies in the subreddit and openly mocked them) was "harming organizing efforts".

Yeah I was a big fan of /r/cumtown and /r/chapo I was even in the DSA, but eventually grillpilled out whenever I grew up. Probably a bit right wing at this point but IDK.
