Implementing a 23% sales tax is a slap in the face to the lower-income communities of the US
It's literally a tax on the poor people and the only class in the US this sales tax benefits is the wealthy. Never mind about the tariffs. Double tax is what it's going to be. This is truly a horrible decision.
Literally a new concept not done ANYWHERE else in the world!

It's a tax for the lower 80% of Americans imposed to give tax breaks to the top 20% of Americans.
That's exactly how a VAT works!

I feel the opposite. It's the only fair tax. If you are broke, you don't spend much. That means lower taxes. If you are rich, you buy tons of stuff. That means you pay a lot more in taxes.
It really checks out in my mind.
You should really do even a few minutes of research. You'll see how wrong you are

He is stupid. Every cent of a poor persons money will be taxed usually at a double rate because of the booze and cigs they spend so much on. A wealthy person can shove half their untaxed income into stocks basically creating an uncapped IRA for themselves.
