r/antiwork simps for Finland's 34 year old alcoholic foid prime minister who (allegedly) wants to introduce a 24 hour work week, circlejerks over how evil Amerikkkan capitalism and boomers are

Could you imagine having a 34 year old President/Prime Minister? Would be an absolute game changer. People who actually understand the current technology is such a massive change. Technology is one of the most important things happening to the world and most of the ancient 60+ year old people know nothing about it or even try to understand it. Just think how much better the building of laws for the nation could be if people actually understood one of the most important things that are taking over the world.

I mean I actually kind of agree that you don't want a demented geriatric running your country, but you also don't want naive millenials/zoomers with no experience

It would also be amazing for morale - imagine feeling like your leader actually gets you. When the news came out about Marin missing the text about her covid exposure because she was clubbing, no one got mad because we all just wanted to be her friend! I think it’s part of AOC’s appeal, too - I love her politics but I also feel like β€œhey, here is someone in my generation who represents ME, who gets me. I could hang with her, we could be besties, I bet we like a lot of the same things.” Biden was kind of creepy to my bestie at an Obama rally. That’s not what I want.

Yaaaassss queen, I only vote for politicians if I want to be their bestie

A country founded on slavery turned out to be really terrible when it comes to workers rights. Who woulda thunk?! Welcome to β€˜Murica!

Just because slavery existed when America was founded doesn't mean that it was "founded on slavery". Saudi Arabia only abolished slavery in 1962 and Oman only abolished it in 1970 but nobody says that their countries were founded on slavery

shes bad!!!!! in more ways than one bites knuckles

This isn't really drama but this was one of dozens of thirst comments

It’s not true. She informally suggested it when she was Minister for transport years ago. These articles went viral on Facebook and the government and herself confirmed that there is no current plans for this.

Yikes, r/antiwork is spreading heckin disinformation!!

The funny thing is that I can imagine some arguing that it'll drive down production and innovation. But this is the sort of stuff that would draw me to work in another country after earning my degree.

Most countries don't want deadbeat burgers to move to their countries to work for 20 hours a week

I wonder why they mentioned her age..

To show what generation is making positive things happen in contrast to the boomer pricks

Their obsession with hating boomers is so cringe, it just makes them seem like spoiled teenagers

Unironically, high-tier offices should be restricted to landowners with children since they have an incentive not to loot and frick up the state.

That describes most people in high tier office, and they've done exactly that anyway.

Said landowners with children have enough money to just run off to the Bahamas.

Thats why you make doing so punishable by nuking the bahamas!
