I'm a software developer and the skills I had the honor of witnessing as a barista to make and serve coffee is actually hours upon hours of training and years of practice DAILY. It's literally all chemistry... You have temperatures, milk textures, consistencies, age of the beans, ground size, weight, pressure you apply to the puck... All of these go into making a basic cappuccino... It took me 5 years to make a good cappuccino that tasted quality.

Doesn't (insert retail outlet/e-commerce website) sell a machine that can make a coffee at the press of one button?

This dude out here acting like he's doing multi step synthesis when he's fricking making coffee

As if the zombies getting "starbs" can even tell the difference between these incredibly niche aspects of a trussed-up caffeine hit.

Day of the k-cup when?

Flipping burgers is more tiring than being a codecel, but then so is bricklaying. Isn't the point of work to do what is easiest and pays the most? So if you're doing something that's harder and pays less you should take the hint.

Bricklayers get paid more than burger flippers

If redditors were not such snobs about the trades they could earn good money

That's it. Now I am convinced that burger flippers should have the salary of a software engineer.
