Ex-assistant manager at a dollar general. I can confirm that the employees get a paper printed out to tell us what to put tags on.

As an auditor when the store is audited they receive a print off of misplaced/stolen items. They then put procedures in place to stop this.
So my guess is this shade is stolen regularly it’s that simple, nothing to do with racism it’s just a documented fact that this item is going missing more than other things.
