No one actually wants war. But Russia got dealt a very bad hand. Ukraine joining Nato seems inevitable at this point and the Russian government simply can not allow Nato this close to Moscow.
Do Ukrainians want to join Russia? Not really. Im surprised if more than 20% would support a reunification at this point. Talking to/knowing Ukrainians they are all very pessimistic about Ukraine, the government, Russia etc. Its all very depressing.

Not gonna happen. Either Ukraine has another "revolution" and a Russian puppet government gets reinstated or they just get occupied to at least the Dnieper. I agree that Moscow deserves a buffer zone because it's currently exposed and vulnerable, but do you guys have to militarily take over Ukraine? Would it be enough if NATO expansionism ceased and the former Eastern Bloc countries remained neutral instead of taking sides between the West and Russia?
It's not that your position regarding NATO expansionism is unreasonable: it's just that taking over other countries is commonly seen as a bit of an aggressive move. Plus you already got the warm water seaport you wanted in Crimea, not to mention that it looks like pretty soon St Petersburg will probably have seaport accessibility all year round to judge by the current rate of global warming. That seems like a fairly strong position, at least economically.
And do you genuinely think it's likely that NATO would be stupid enough to use military force to try and invade Moscow? That doesn't seem like the wisest move. What's your specific concern?

When I was tinder passporting I caught some cutipies from Crimea and they don’t me they don’t want to be part of ukraine and they are Russian.
I don’t think a lot want to join now but it’s just because their little ego got hurt. Like before the sanction and all the drama Russia was gdp wise most successful slavic country. Now it slightly behind Poland but gdp is bad indicator for Russia in general. But if we look at history and shit than Russia is the most historically successful slavic country it’s kinda like how UK is jalouse of US but we all know UK doesn’t matter so all those slavic countries doesn’t matter in comparison to Russia and they are ready to frick them self over to prove they are something. Like it was obvious that without being on Russia side Ukraine is fricked. They expect to live like western country but thanks to fall of Soviet Union they are 30+ years technologically behind west (Soviet Union had CPU’s and was working on mobile phones) they also have no resource.
But Ukrainian cope by saying they are smart their IT neighbors are strong but the only neighbors from Ukraine I see are working in construction and cleaning houses.
Google says nominal gdp of Soviet Union per capita in 1991 was 9500 buks that would be 18000 buks today and Ukraine gdp today is 3700 buks per capita.
