Word filters are great for a few reasons (IMHO)
Lets edgeposters feel that transgressive dopamine rush of typing the no-no words.
Then they get really mad when they find out all their edge has been blunted into something funny instead.
Pointless restrictions force posters to be creative instead of spamming the same stupid shit.
Less likely to get filtered off search engine results (not sure if we care about/want search visibility)
