Some choice drama, as the thread is split between anglos and francos feeling smug about Quebec's continuous slide into irrelevance
The most nannied linguistic minority in the world throwing a tantrum. Cry me a river
Are we talking about french speaking quebecers?

Back when I was in my 20s, I had a Little Mermaid backpack. Wore it everywhere. Why? Because I really like the Little Mermaid, it was a good backpack, and it let me know immediately which guys were insecure idiots.
If I was on public transport and I saw a guy smirking at my backpack, I was never bothered. I knew that if the two of us were dropped in the bush with nothing, Iβd most likely be the one walking out alive. I didnβt need to prove anything to them, and theyβd already proved they werenβt worth my time.

So french education for the poor, english education for the rich?
This province is slowly rebuilding the pre 1960 order, only with no catholic church

Before the 1960s everything was run by anglos in Montreal. There was a brief period from 1960 to 2000 where quebecers tried to have a go at having provincial businesses and defending french. But now we're back to letting anglos run everything in montreal.
Except this time around the catholic church are no longer relevant (as they were before 1960)

Which way is better? I assume the Anglo control would be best for them but that's because I'm racist against the French.

Depends on if you have the nationalistic brainworm or not, it makes nationalists seethe big time that Montreal is turning more anglo
My opinion is that if it was important to them that montreal stay french speaking, then they should have worked harder to make it so

Traditional Quebec cuisine is a bit different to French food, tasting like a greatest hit of rural english and french dishes
That said montreal has a great culinary scene... at least the bits of it that survived the coof lockdowns
