Those of us who left, including SF operators from multiple countries, are simply risk mitigating. No one wants to die in an unfair fight, and after getting absolutely fricking pummeled by massive cruise missiles today - yeah I kind of want people to think twice before turning their life upside down to go and volunteer.

Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I stop a cruise missile mid flight. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining why you chose to support nazis. I tend to respond to Reddit PMs within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception.
How can we prevent this from happening in the future?

State run industries are terrible. Plus there's no civilian aviation development in Asia historically, sort of difficult to start up a purely defense industry probably. Even China's having problems with developing their own jet engine. Anyway, Israel+Russia are doing a lot of tech transfers and we're privatizing too, hopefully in 20 years we'll be the ones supplying arms to African warlords, not China.

Yeah, a lot of this is just that the barriers to entry are so high. An extreme amount of resources got poured into this in USA, Russia, Europe in the 1940s-1980s and it's hard to catch up even now.
