I don't need them to validate anything. I don't watch them for validation of my opinions. I like when they talk about movies I am interested in. A couple years ago Green Knight would have been a guaranteed HitB. The Batman would have been a guaranteed HitB. The Batman is far more interesting than your typical Marvel movie like gtfo.

As a fan I can enjoy watching them and also be disappointed when they don't talk about things I want to hear them talk about. And right now all they've been talking about is streaming trash.
