Twitter is sort of the only major place left atm where there isn't absolutely blatant censorship on everything. Maybe its cause all the celebrities are driving engagement and they fear a rightoid exodus if they drive away rightoid celebrities. Idk. But as opposed to reddit and facebook twitter still has some organic activity.

Surely censoring an ex-President with mainstream appeal counts as blatant censorship. When it comes to smaller accounts, twitter censorship is just incompetent and slow, their jannies must be more overworked than the facebook ones. They still have false copyright claims like youtube.

Oh yeah that was there but tbh I think the whole insurrection meme probably forced their hand. Generally I feel they don't care about controlling the narrative that much, I mean they didn't really help their side's narrative by banning Trump. Take covid for example, there have been lockdown skeptics with fairly high popularity there for a long time, they didn't get gimped in algos like on facebook or b&d like on reddit.
