What steps are you going to take to ensure that the EU-appointed rdrama mods are treated fairly and allowed to remove hateful content without fear of harassment?

You understand that these tech companies are going to enact these rules site wide, right?
They won't just stop opporating in EU countries, so that means us freedumbcels are gonna have to deal with this same shit, because of their eurotrash laws. It's why our queen Hillary Clinton was for this law passing

They may deal with it the way they deal with netzdg/gdpr and just regionloxk the shit out of content

I think theyβll just implement it via region like they do with California, Utah, and the EU already. Our beloved Hillary is going to be disappointedβ¦for now.
I donβt think tech companies want to moderate their content. Seethe gets clicks.
Obligatory because everyone loves The Thing.

Literally, nothing will happen. Same as last time and the time beforehand. Heck, this just seems to be the unification of pre-existing national laws into a federal one.

Rdrama already doesn't let you delete your account, even though it would be mandatory because of GDPR, so yeah, nothing will come from this.

This is unrelated but you got locked out of your reddit account, right? You might be able to file a GDPR complaint because the GDPR gives Europeans the right to delete their data.

I wonder how they'd define social media. Do old style forums count too?

They in reality only mean Facebook/insta/Twitter etc unless you pop up on their radar

Who tf gets exposed to illegal content that they weren't already looking for? The Pirate Bay doesn't just show up on your home page and dump a copy of Jurassic Park that you have to watch

It only applies to sites with 45 million users or more. Euros are still subhumans, true, but euro dramanauts are with us unless drama goes mainstream.

It doesn't really seem that bad. The only had thing I can find is that "Illegal content" is way too vague to make sense of what they are supposedly going to enforce. Honestly the entire law sounds incredibly vague and outside of curbstomping giga companies again it doesn't affect regular user too much. Granted places like reddit will just interpret the vague law however they want and ban even more of heckin nazis

QRD? The only things I understood are that you can identify shills more easily, you can question jannies' actions without repercussions, and you can see clearly how they operate
