How? Vaccinated are only allowed to travel, they pick up variants and bring them to their host country. Vaccinated spread the virus more than unvaccinated. Unless itโ€™s a Lancet or EJM study, itโ€™s BS. Trusting CMAJ is like trusting FDA. (25)

>How?For those that actually care, it is explained in the article. (-13)

Maybe you did (12)

99% of us did. You did too. It all happened before you turned 6 and you would not be let into kindergarten without it. (-15)

Doesn't sound like a very fricking effective vaccine! (27)

In the same way last years flu vaccine wouldn't work or the coming season, I agree (-14)

100% agree and thank you for bringing common sense into your classroom. Unfortunately many of the schools use antibacterial soap but it's better than hand sanitizer. (1)

There are some common sense teachers out there but honestly itโ€™s so rare now. I think Covid fear gripped schools the hardest, outside hospitals and ltc homes. The worst part is that covid is used as a political tool in schools. Theyโ€™ve silenced any teachers who might disagree or question the narrative. Weโ€™re told weโ€™re not following the scienceโ„ข and weโ€™re trying to kill people if we decide to use our own common sense. Donโ€™t even get me started on masks. The amount of times other teachers would surprise visit my classes and yell at my students to put their masks on when I โ€œvery clearly wasnโ€™t doing my jobโ€ is shameful. I was scolded too many times this year by my equals and superiors. The worst part of it is that I was treated like an r-slur by my teachers, who would repeat the rules to me over and over again, double check my students after me to make sure they were following protocol even if I wasnโ€™t, and just control everyone behind my back. Sorry for the rant. Itโ€™s very frustrating. (5)

Newer variants have made breakthrough infections more common but that doesn't change the main purpose of vaccines which is to provide protection against serious symptoms in the event of infection. (-1)

https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.12.23.21268276v1.full.pdfThis shows myocarditis rates are worse in men under 40 for all vaccine schedules except only the 1st dose of Pfizer. Although the worst cohort is 16-24 year old men.I think what you're not understanding is three key points. 1) there is no evidence a young, healthy person needs a covid vaccine, 2) if the risk from vaccine vs infection is this close, as in there are competing studies that show one is worse than the other, we're in a bad spot and 3) these studies don't take into account the fact that you can get covid vaccines until you're blue in the face and you're still going to get covid. So how do you factor in the risk of myocarditis from infection after the risk taken on from 2-3+ vaccines? (3)

> โ€œWe use models in a lot of different ways,โ€ said Fisman. โ€œTheyโ€™re just simplified versions of reality.โ€I like how they include this quote as if it helps their case. This is exactly why models are almost always useless, because they grossly oversimplify how things actually work in reality. People and the real world don't operate like a model does, everything is far more complicated. People's behaviours, especially at a population level, can't be simplified down to a model. > Afia Amoako, coauthor of the study and second-year PhD student at the University of Toronto, said itโ€™s unfortunate that vaccination has become so โ€œpoliticized.โ€Oh really, is it unfortunate? Are you sure that politicization isn't the reason you were able to pull this garbage paper out of your butt?I don't understand how it's not getting embarrassing for these people yet. They're so pathetically desperate to clutch to covid and vaccines being their entire identity. (4)
