Canada will be out of the pandemic when we start making decisions based on science rather than pandering to leftists social morals. (50)
Basedness: ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐
Social morality considers whether an action threatens societyโs well-being. Mask mandates applied in only certain situations without scientific rationale (such as long term care or hospitals but not schools) or some unvaccinated persons being allowed to take planes or trains but not others (solely dependent on the age of the individual) would be examples. These decisions have nothing to do with science as disease does not distinguish the infected people by age. It spreads regardless of the individualโs age, so this is done to control individual behavior. We are making decisions not based on societal well being with respect to science. We are (the liberals/ndp in charge so leftist morals) selectively deciding who is able to participate in particular activities and who not. This is a social decision, not scientific. (25)

That is literally only one small aspect of the pandemic. Not being able to travel by air or by train is, at most, an inconvenience. Everyone is still allowed to take their cars and drive wherever they want. If you really want to fly somewhere, charter a plane. Travel by air is not a Charter right. Neither is travel by train, or even bus or car or boat. (-2)

While I'm all down for protests. These guys are poorly organized and not to be surprised don't seem to have a real communication team behind them. The leader went on Evan Soloman's show and they said this was all about veteran's. But when asked why Chris Sky is listed as a featured speaker, the leader said he had nothing to do with it, despite the website listing him as a speaker. Seems sloppy. But most protest efforts are. Vaccinations donโt seem to have the staying power I think a lot of us hoped. I should get a booster soon but I donโt know how the frick weโll convince people to do that if these things last than six months.

It's not vaccination that doesn't work, its these absolutely worthless MRNA vaccines.
You're inoculating people against a single antigen of a single strain of the virus. Nothing about it makes sense or made sense to begin with. It was a giant grift from the beginning when the tech to create attenuated pathogen vaccines has existed since 1900 and works perfectly. All the excuses to use MRNA in place of that were a load of horseshit.
For perspective, every year the influenza vaccine needs 3-4 separate CURRENT strains of the ENTIRE deactivated virus to properly train your immune system. The covid vaccine trains against a single viral protein in a 2 year old strain of the virus. It's an r-slured money grab, anyone who bought the grift should be shot.

I'm pretty pro-vax unironically and I'm not a vaccine researcher or an epidemiologist but I do read some of the papers (and I understand what a p-value is) but it's really starting to look that we were sold a big ol lie on the vaccines. While they do reduce the chance of hospitalization and death somewhat, that protection falls off rapidly. When the vaccines first came out we were sold on 98% effectiveness and shit. That turned out to be a lie.
Absolutely understand why people don't want to be forced to take these vaccines. Who the frick trusts Pfizer? R-slurs, that's who.

Based on the available data within our highly sanitized lab environment, it was not a lie.
After we released them into the wild, we ignored any adverse effects after 30 days. It's up to the patient to report that to their PCP, but we won't follow up because that's beyond the scope of our budget, and we won't be held legally liable anyway.
I've had a blast reading their white papers and especially how each State calculates a covid "death." After the NHS released their risk-adjusted numbers on covid victims (around Summer 2020), I laughed at the continued madness. It was probably one of the most r-slurred political failures I've seen to date.

I'd take the mRNA vaccines anyday compared to the J&J and AZ that literally kills you lmao.
Also, you are clearly not a biologist or anything of the sort, because that was the most re tarded take I have ever read on this site.

The CDC contradicts themselves on a daily basis, but the ingredient list doesn't lie. Basically "Well it isn't JUST the MRNA therefore we don't call it a MRNA vaccine yet the MRNA in it is used by your body to produce the spike protein just like the other jabs."

Let me explain to you, lmao.
It is the vector that matters. mRNA by itself was "rejected" by the cell previously, until they learned they could substitute one of the nucleotides with another. A "normal" vaccine does not inject mRNA directly into the cell, instead it uses a weakened, non-replicating virus as the vector.

That's literally just a WORDS WORDS WORDS of "Well it isn't JUST the MRNA therefore we don't call it a MRNA vaccine yet the MRNA in it is used by your body to produce the spike protein just like the other jabs."
If the vaccine had been an attenuated pathogen jab from the beginning there wouldn't have been any controversy and hundreds of billions of lives would have been saved.

Unless you work at Pfizer or Moderna, the rest of us were told to take the jab (and stop the spread) or lose our job. The tail-between-legs exit from this sentiment has been so (no apologies, of course)

Canada has had low cases and low deaths the entire pandemic when compared with many European countries and the USA. The reason they panic more than these places is because the hospitals are shit. I swear I remember there being a province wide emergency and overflowing hospitals because 200 ICU beds were taken by covid patients. Their healthcare system can't handle even a small amount of stress

The provincial govs. are running things as cheap as possible and then spending the rest of the money earmarked from the Fed for healthcare elsewhere.
Have seen countless small town hospitals shut down in, supposedly in favour of more funding for a single decently sized urban hospital. Which quickly becomes overwhelmed when you've got both rural and urban people trying to use it. The healthcare system use to be much more patient focused but it's turning into a factory where they just try to get you out the door as quick as possible.
