We get this post every couple of weeks. I hate to be the stereotype of a SJW, but this reeks of white privilege. Not everyone can pass as a straight white male. Many people here experience the very real risk of a hate crime when driving out of town (in my experience, classes are usually in the exurbs) to meet a couple dozen strangers.
If I step outside a 5-block radius of my $3800 downtown apartment I will literally be genocided, chud. BIPOCs are forced to risk their lives just to to venture outside the hustle and bustle. 
If anything take the training and advantages offered as lessons in finding out what holes others have in their own training. Even teachers and trainers are not immune from becoming stuck in their old ways, those are things that can be exploited and utilized for maximum effectiveness in any given situation but especially in spaces where more often than not a lot of people are still stuck in methods and training from the 90's to 2000's.
I'm sure the boomer range officer leading your class is going to reveal your opponent's hidden weakness like some anime attack. You can probably defeat him with less than 10% of your power! 
So, this is good advice for those of you that can "blend in" but for a lot of people that isnt an option, my best advice is to look to your friends that can blend in to bring back notes from classes that are otherwise inaccessible. And if not notes 3 or 4 big take aways.

I would think that this community would be able to come together to identify valuable sources of weapons education that also fall in line with our political/moral beliefs, no? Or is it REALLY that difficult to find pro-gun leftist trainers and organizations out there?

We need to know the safer resources, where to go, who to train with, where to buy. I keep coming to these subs hoping for THAT sort of "community", " brotherhood", "I got your back" and all I mostly see is scoffing, apathy and "I'm sorry it's like that for you, I hope it gets better!" While some LGBTQ people can pass for straight, some can't, neither can trans, asian, black and brown people. That is a VERY large part of your cadre.

I have a fairly liberal friend who's part black who has this opinion of the south. She thinks if she walks around some TX suburbs she'll get shot. Blows my mind bc she lives in a big city where she's actually far more likely to be the victim of violent crime than in a TX suburb but whatever.
