Every year I get excited for Eurovision. I watch both semis and find maybe one song that I don't think is dogshit. Then the final comes around but I've already heard all the songs and am sick of them. And then the voting happens and a song I hate wins and I get angry.
Then I forget that I hate Eurovision and get excited for it the next year.
Of course Ukraine will win, it's a popularity contest. They introduced judges so that now each country's song is judged 50% audience/50% judge, but the judges are just as biased as the general public. "Greece gives Cyprus douze points!"

I liked the French song, hated the winning song. "We've brought real music back to Eurovision" says the guys playing the kind of milquetoast rock song you'd expect to hear at a high school battle of thr bands.
