Every first world country would have a negative birthrate if not for a poor migrant underclass.

You don't need to have an exponential population growth. Low birth rates plus natural deaths can easily cancel out the increase in population through immigration.
I agree that using mass immigration to keep the social security system solvent is a form of "kicking the can down the road". However, the US and other Western countries are not (for the most part) importing every Tom, Peepee and Harry into their countries. Aside from Europe and their refugee r-sluration, most immigrants to Western countries are the top performers in their respective countries (e.g. just look at the average incomes of Indians and Chinese in the US). What's more, the West is still the top destination for the well-off and ambitious professionals in developing countries to immigrate to. So. even if the birth rates in developing countries drop below 2, the US can still snatch their best and brightest to become net tax-payers for a long, long time to come.

I think there are enough engineers and computer scientist from Eastern Europe to make the difference, lots of eastern Europe is the second world and have pretty good education systems just shitty pay, so America could get most of them through brain drain.
I don't think that transatlantic travel is that price restrictive now. A flight from Warsaw to NYC one way seems like $300-400 which is less than one week of work on minimum wage. Most of the poor immigrants aren't from Mexico anyway, there are from Guatemala, Nicragua, or Haiti and I think the cost of traveling from Central America to the US border is about the same cost.
You can't stop them from race-mixing, but America is still majority white, I don't imagine that many eastern European immigrants many of which harbor racist ideas would want to date black people. I think they would mostly date other European immigrants or white Americans.
