Not sure if its the same guy but something like that happened to /u/haupt91 , he used to make all high quality memes on WSB before the apes invaded. He ended up trying to make a side hustle out of it and lost his job at JP Morgan or something because he supported Trump publicly.
He fell off after WSB banned him for calling the apes r-slurs, now he just has a 1k follower instagram. Not sure how accurate my details are but something like that.
