The gentle ladies at r/transgender debate the debacle of Doreen the Dog walker :marseydogwalker:

Popcorn is culturally and historically significant on Reddit. It goes all the way to the top. The pop doesn't stop. 🍿 Google kn0thing popcorn. It's a well-known meme in the metasphere subs like SRD that unwittingly end up propagating Reddit's history via oral tradition over the years. "Popcorn tastes good" is a foundational value on Reddit, and of course the culture at large that it's built atop. If it bleeds it leads and so on. That's exactly what we're seeing play out here on Fox and the surrounding social noise. Everyone loves pointing and laughing at the weird trans people. It sells like hotcakes. Just ask Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos. Selling prejuduce is making him rich, along with Dave Chappelle and a whole host of clout chasing controversy channels that signal boosted The Closer.

Those :chudsey: sardines at it again. Will their reign of terror ever end?

We’re not just anti-working too much, but we’re opposed to systems of coercive labour in general, although not labour in general.

Laziness is a virtue. :marseytrans2:

Enby /r/antiwork mod walked into an obvious trap and was publicly humiliated on Fox News. Transphobes think it’s because trans.

Here is a pretty good overview of what happened. Yeah.. it was pretty bad.

god all of that misgendering ffs

I suspect watching it would just make me cry, so I haven’t and won’t. You can probably find a transcript somewhere.

They sound just like women! :marseyagreefast:

For the record, I’m not happy with how she’s chosen to handle all of this, but I think people are being overly rude and offensive. It’s truly uncalled for. The damage is done. The memes and purposeful misnomers contribute nothing to the movement and are just straight up bully tactics. It’s sad to see. Edit: I’ve been made aware of a confession of sexual assault that was made shortly after the blow-up of all of this. I’m choosing to leave this comment up because my sentiments are still the same about what occurred prior to me having this new information, but I feel strange about all of this.

:marseyxd:

There are Facebook screenshots, the veracity of which I cannot determine, on which she admits to having sexually assaulted a then-partner of hers and appears to be trying to spin this as her being the victim somehow. There’s also a website (c4ss.org) that has mentioned at least since late 2020 (according to archive.org) that she used to be an editor for them until she was “exposed as a male feminist”.

Yeah. It was said that Fox News deliberately asked for this moderator to interview, and just Googling their name would have turned up the allegation on that anarchist website, so presumably they knew ahead of time.

:marseyleftoidschizo:

Hey just so y’all know, a large number of people from antiwork are going to a sub called workreform. I wouldn’t recommend it. The mods aren’t particularly active, so transphobia is everywhere, specifically towards the interviewee, but just a very negative place in general right now.

:marseydisagree:

Yes I had a lot of sympathy for her when I saw everyone misgendering her at scale in every discussion. That has to burn a little even when the people speaking are making valid points otherwise. If she tried to tell people that her pronouns are different than those being used then she probably would have been corrected on her own pronouns by a bunch of toxic cis people pointing out certain aspects of her aesthetics which may not be easily changeable.
