I’m hopping on a plane later tonight and have a friend scared I’m going to die. I’m just going to Colorado so I can come back the next day but that’s somehow scarier than the literal dozens of times I’ve sky dived.
It reminds me of my hair stylist that gets mad at me every time I get a touch up before international travel…

My brother is a pilot. My parents will watch those plane crash investigation shows on National Geographic religiously for some reason.
I guess it’s not surprising how quickly things can go wrong for a 700,000 lb box, 30,000 ft in the air, going 800 mph.

Ya, I agree, it’s exceedingly rare, but I guess the fact that when it does happen it’s near guaranteed death scares some people.
