SRDines discuss the state sport of iowa

Lol they're talking about Rittenhouse. Dude most of America was cheering him on

In America, everything's for sale. Even the courts.

Yeah because rich people don't have nice layers in other countries. Also 5k ain't a lot for a lawyer.

Of course it's Des Moines

I knew a guy in college who was sent to live with an aunt in the Midwest from his parents west coast house for a summer. This was because he was annoying his parents. Anyway the only thing he "leaned" was the fact that 1/4 people on the road were blitzed.

One of the biggest shocks to me leaving the state is how much people from other parts of the country hate drunk drivers.

Growing up it was perfectly normal for dad to leave the restaurant with a couple roadies for the ride home.

In highschool if we didn't have a place to party we'd go road trippin, just cruising the gravel roads killing beers.

Between a lack of small towns having cops and county cops having to wash their own cars it was pretty safe and risk free to be drinkin and driving in rural Iowa.

Dsm sub is full of city slickers, transplants and liberals.

Coasties and city folk truly can't comprehend just how many people have driven drunk. SRDines we're horrified at some stat that 60 % of drinkers had driven drunk. It's probably higher than that, and even higher in Europe.

there's been numerous cases of them brutalizing and killing people who were breaking way less laws than a drunk driver.

That's a plus though, what's the problem?

Imagine trying to organize a march because some sauced up hick got the shit beat out of him.

Also let's think about the standard SRDine advice to talk to the co workers firs then call the cops.

If you call the cops without talking to coworkers

Coworker: "Darn I got pulled over that sucks."

If you call the cops with talking to coworkers

Coworker: " I got pulled over last night because of you. Enjoy going headfirst into the oil fryer"

Same. I used to do this too when I was younger. See someone driving like an butthole, call the non-emergency line. I'd follow them long enough to give the license plate and location.

Police never cared.

Hello, dispatcher? This chud cut me off with his F150. He is currently traveling north on 35, license plate number b-bravo, 3, delt- hello?
