my fav is when people urge anyone scratched or bit by a cat to rush to the er lol. my parents have a marsey that is half of a wild/ancient breed and she bit a lot when she was little and no one ever had an issue with getting infections

also her name is abby and she is a good girl who throws herself at the window so hard it scares the shit out of package people and snarls at them, 10/10 guard kitty. this is now a thread about abby because she is such a good girl

These are the same people that complain about outrageous medical bills. They will take an ambulance ride for heartburn with no insurance and then complain about it for years.

I support the need for more out of hours GPs, but I think OP’s suggestion that if you’re on your phone you shouldn’t be there is a step too far. One night I suddenly developed an extreme pain in my stomach. I couldn’t move. All I could do was lie there and focus on not panicking until the ambos arrived. I got to the hospital and they quickly realised it was my gallbladder. They gave me pain meds and they were exceptionally effective - I went from struggling to breathe to being able to walk myself into the waiting room while they saw more urgent patients. While I waited I was on my phone. I absolutely needed to be there, but I was okay. Not everyone needs to receive immediate care - sometimes on your phone in the hospital emergency waiting room is exactly the right place to be so they can monitor you.

You were treated with pain killers until they got to removing your gallbladder (or whatever). Redditors are so fricking r-slurred.
