I'm all for saving the environment but you have to give the companies these laws affect ways to handle it otherwise when they're give the option between bankruptcy or skirting the rules, they're almost always going to skirt the rules. We rarely do anything to help these companies when we sign a bill that completely flips their industry upside down so everything collapses and we move our industry to china and other poor nations. Just look at the oil and gas industry, ESG investors are currently fricking American companies "to save the environment". Where their emissions for the same processes are way higher than ours, thus resulting in ESG investors actually hurting the environment more while screwing US companies over
